Faith-Based Psychiatrist

Open Position: Faith-based Psychiatrist Job Location: Haverhill, MA 01830 Saint Gemma Health & Wellness Center, Inc. is an outpatient and counseling center focused on evidence-based approaches that are trauma-informed, systems-based, brain health based, and person-centered. We implement the Four Circles of Wholeness—psychological, biological, social, and spiritual—and provide individual psychotherapy, intensive outpatient addiction treatment, medication management, group therapy, and couples therapy based on client needs. Faith-based Psychiatrist (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with ABPN certification, holding strong and compassionate knowledge of general medicine, psychiatry, psychology, neurology, biology, biochemistry, addiction, pharmacology, and functional medicine. Job Type: 1099 Contract position for start-up non-profit Schedule: Monday - Friday, daytime hours Pay Range: Pay is commensurate with insurance reimbursement Sign-On Bonus Role and Responsibilities: •Conduct psychiatric patient evaluations; to include functional using a variety of methodologies including DSM-5 and appropriate psychological testing; •Oversee the performance of an interdisciplinary team of mental health professionals, to include: •Honoring medical and clinical policies and procedures on behalf of patients; •Attending weekly consultations with IOP staff; •Collaborating with established core licensed team members to provide high quality, clear, and compassionate care; •Integrating medical education and treatment with faith-based approaches; •Communicating effectively both orally and in writing; •Modeling sound ethical practice, consistent with the protocols of Saint Gemma Health & Wellness Center and the established and defined ethics of one's training and discipline. •Support a continuing evolution of best-practices within the center and the community on behalf of patient well-being; •Advocate passionately for patient well-being, •Support a collaborative environment, both with staff and with patients, that values learning and sharing knowledge.
